21 Days Of Prayer & Fasting

Prayer and fasting as part of the worship experience are a vital part of developing and growing closer to God. The church community at Lakes Worship has embraced this practice for many years, dedicating 21 days each year to prayer and fasting as a way to come together, strengthen relationships with God and each other, and draw near to Him in worship. Through prayer and fasting, we can humble ourselves before God, confess our sins, and ask that He fill us with His love and presence. It is through these acts that we are drawn closer to God so that we can become more like Him in thought, deed, and spirit.

Prayer Guide

God's marvelous works surround us, and the best way to stay in tune with His grand design for Church of The Lakes is through prayer. Our dedicated prayer team gathers every Tuesday in the COTLakes Admin Office, passionately praying for God's continued work in our lives. We invite you to embrace a lifestyle centered around prayer and fasting. Sometimes, prayer may be seen as a last resort, perhaps because many haven't fully discovered how to pray. With this in mind, we've created a straightforward prayer guide to assist you.
Starting January 8th, 2024, we embark on a 21-day journey of seeking God through prayer and fasting. Our prayer guide will focus our collective prayers on our government, community, church, and those who are lost. The guide draws from various prayer models found in the Bible, and aims to make prayer a more personal and joyous experience. As you learn to engage in daily dialogues with Him, you will encounter God's presence in a way that will transform your life.

Prayer can seamlessly integrate into every aspect of your life. Think of it as the first thing you do before starting your day, retiring to bed, heading off to work or school, sending a text, or taking a meal. It's a shield before bad things happen and a solace when they do. In every situation—PRAY FIRST! Indeed, prayer has the power to change everything!

Throughout the 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, Pastor Mike will share a daily devotional at 5AM on Facebook LIVE and YouTube. In case you miss them, we will also post them below for your convenience.
